A person reads this and will answer. Tell us what you were doing and what happened, and if something looks wrong on screen, a screenshot helps more than anything.

Through Apple, not through us — Apple handles every subscription and we cannot cancel one on your behalf. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, and choose The Butler’s Book. The app has a shortcut to the same screen at Settings › Subscription › Manage Subscription.
Cancelling stops the next payment and leaves Full Service running until the period you have paid for ends.

Nothing is hidden and nothing is deleted. Every wine, note, and photograph stays exactly where it is, and you can still browse, search, uncork, export, and share cards. Scanning returns to what is left of your free allowance, and if you keep more than one collection, the oldest stays fully usable while the others become read-only.
-
Go to Settings › your collection › Sharing & Data › Export as Spreadsheet. One row per wine, every field you can type, as a CSV that opens in Numbers or Excel. There is no limit, it needs no subscription, and you do not have to ask us.
-
Your collection lives in your iCloud, so signing in to the same Apple Account on the new phone brings it back. If the book looks empty at first, give it a moment — it says “Looking in iCloud for your book…” while the first download arrives. If it stays empty, check that iCloud Drive is turned on for The Butler’s Book in your iPhone’s iCloud settings, then write to us.

Some labels are more art than informational and can be hard even for a human to read.
In this case, the book will say it could not read the label and offer to let you enter the wine by hand, keeping the photograph you took. A failed reading is never counted against your scans. Photographing the front label square on, in whatever light you have, gets most scans completed accurately.

Asking Siri for a particular wine out loud is unreliable at the moment. Siri does not reliably hand a spoken wine name to the app, which is in Apple’s hands rather than ours. Everything works through the Shortcuts app, where all four questions are ready to run. We would rather say this up front so you’ll know why it works sometimes and other times it doesn’t.
We will continue to monitor Siri’s updates in the future so we can get this feature working like we hoped.
